OK, thought I’d try something new. How about some music? Yes.
This is the first in a series of blogs highlighting the music of the Great Plains, or at least music that references the Great Plains, or perhaps just music that can in some way be related to the Great Plains. I have a few songs in mind, but I’d also like to open it up to anyone who has a song they think represents the Great Plains. You can email me at smyers@greatplainstrail.org with your suggestion. My first entry is “In a Big Country” by the 80s band Big Country.
They hail from Scotland, but with a song name like that, I thought it would be a good starting point. I offer no commentary on the video. It’s wide open to your own interpretation! Enjoy!
