It is Accomplished

Huzzah!

IRS Form 1023 is in the mail!  It took close to a month to sort everything out, but in the end, I feel good about the finished product.  It’s now a waiting game for an unspecified amount of time (could be 6 weeks, could be 6 months).  If all goes well, we will receive our “Letter of Determination” and will be a functioning 501(c)(3) organization.  We’ll have some hoops to jump through after that, but essentially, we’ll be official and legit.

There are, of course, lots of people to thank in this effort.  No way could I have done this alone, nor would I have wanted to.  I will be giving everyone their “props” in the next post, to be sure.  For now, I think it’s time to do a little celebrating!
